Le Guanahani: Happy is the New Healthy
When the Managing Director Martein van Wagenberg of Le Guanahani St. Barth, one of my favorite Caribbean resorts, mentioned that the resort was marking its 30th Anniversary this year with a wellness retreat focused entirely around meditation and chocolate, I think I fell into a trance.
I pictured my toes in the sand, the cool trade winds blowing, and my mouth full of melting Caribbean chocolate dripping down my lips. My mental vacation had already begun. With no mention of any boot camp or running on the beach at ungodly hours of the morning only to be rewarded with a handful of carrots and a green juice, I was ready to pack my bags. You didn’t just have me at hello. You had me at yoga flow.
Author, yogi and wellness expert Dave Romanelli, says “Happy is the New Healthy,” and he will be leading this first-of-a-kind wellness retreat from February 4-7, 2016 where guests will disconnect to reconnect all in the name of bettering yourself.
temptation wellness even further, Dave and Le Guanahani’s Chef Nicola de Marchi promise that you will “savor champagne and warm Caribbean dark chocolate with a gingerbread and foie gras lollipop in between soothing meditation. Your senses will come alive in this unforgettably, deliciously present moment.”
Snap! Snap! Will someone please wake me from this delightful trance?
