A Very Burberry Christmas
Christmas is already in the air at luxury hotels, and there’s nothing I love more than the collaboration of luxury travel and fashion. This week, Claridges, London’s legendary Mayfair hotel, debuts its gorgeous designer Christmas tree in the lobby created by Burberry Chief Creative and CEO, Christopher Bailey. It’s the first time the hotel has had a Britsh designed Christmas tree.
The motion responsive Christmas Tree features almost 100 umbrellas, each finished in bespoke gold and silver metallic fabric. The tree’s 77,000 individual lights are triggered as guests walk by sending thousands of twinkling beams into the hotel’s lobby each time someone interacts with it.
The art deco style hotel has had a longstanding relationship with Burberry and Mr. Bailey and even offers Burberry Heritage trench coats when you stay in the hotel suites. During this festive season, ‘Burberry Bellboys’ will also be on hand to help guests with their Christmas wish lists.
We can only imagine that Santa will be inspired by the glitz and glamour of this innovative tree so much so he might even leave few Nova Check surprises for those who have been good all year. A girl can always dream!
